Previously, I wrote a post about the process for bidding on a HUD property in the past;however, things changed in recent months.  The general process remains the same, but there are differences that are important to note.

I just finished reading the first two chapters of "Surviving Your Serengeti, 7 Skills to Master Business and Life" by Stefan Swanepoel and must say it was a refreshing business read.  I enjoy the fact that it reads more like a good story than a typical dry business book.  
It starts out with Sean, a guy who's so deeply engulfed in his business, he actually appears to be disappointed in obtaining the rare opportunity to travel to Africa.  He's upset his crackberry can't get any bars upon their arrival and initially seems to be pouting like a 5 year … (19 comments)

who says Nick Logan with topagent.com referred her to me????  She said it so fast I was trying to process the name as she's running through this speil about advertising on TV with my name and phone number on the ad...It's supposed to make buyers/sellers put a face with a name so they feel more comfortable calling me than looking for someone via other methods.  She said something about I get one free area, that I can refer other agents, and the rep would be in Indy on Monday to give me all the information...Of course that's all the info they … (9 comments)

Following is the market report for the area known as Broad Ripple Village as of Februrary 9th 2011.
Excellent News!  January 2011 went out with a bang (in a positive way)!  The number of closed sales increased 350% over December and 233% over sales from January 2010.  While Indianapolis Real Estate did not suffer the same drastic losses in property values, our market did essentially come to a grinding halt during this recession.  Let's hope this is an indicator that the market is recovering.

Wordless Wednesday...What's black & blue & red all over? - 02/09/11 07:03 PM
MY ARM!!!!!
I made it through the whole week after our lovely ice storm without a single fall.  It was treacherous, but I did OK.  Saturday, they predicted we would only have an 1" of snow.  Well, it ended up snowing over 6"!  So now, not only do we have 2.5 inches worth of ice packed on the ground, we've got all this "lovely" fluffy white stuff on top of it.  
I was pulling out of the garage and wondering why I wasn't going anywhere so I decided to get out and see what the problem was....
