So you've decided to build that dream home! Whether it's small or big, elaborate or simple, it all starts with selecting the homesite. Choosing the right lot should involve both research and due diligence. A land buyer cannot rely upon either the county or the developer for accurate information about the property. The developer representative ultimately represents the seller (in most cases) and is therefore working in the seller's best interests. The county, although a wealth of information, is not always accurate and should not be your only source of information. The best course of action is to have your own agent/realtor
