Tri-County MLS Residential Market
Below is the third quarter metro Charleston SC housing report. All statistics gathered for this report are as of the last day of September.  The report covers the major counties of Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley that make up the metro Charleston SC area.  As you can see from the report the largest inventory category of active listings in the area is under $150,000.  This category of homes under $150,000 also makes up the largest percentage of homes sold (closed) this year.

According to a recent study by the Milken Institute, the Charleston, SC metropolitan has climbed the list of the top 200 cities in America for creating and sustaining jobs.  Charleston has risen from being ranked number 22 a year ago to an impressive ranking of 12th in the nation on the list of "Best Performing Cities."  The following is the breakdown of how Charleston was evaluated as taken from the Milken Institute's website:
