Summerville SC is a suburb of Charleston SC and is located northwest of Charleston off of I-26. Summerville appeals to both families and businesses and is one of the fastest growing cities in the Lowcountry. Summerville has a fairly large population at a little over 48,000 people but still has a small town feel and attitude. The town was originally settled just after the revolutionary war by plantation owners but the town was not officially created until 1848.
