My Grandmother taught me the difference between right and wrong; she also taught me to say "Yes sir/ma'm and No sir/ma'm and a lot of "life lessons".
One of the most important life lessons that she taught me was to forgive and that I should not have "Hate" in my heart.
"Grandma, if you are looking down on your favorite little grandson: I'm sorry! I have tried to remember everything that you taught me, but I really hate mobile phones"
And to be perfectly honest, it's not the actual mobile phones - it's the people who mis-use them.

Charleston County Zoning and Land Development Experts Brandon White and Sally Brooks, were the guest speakers at the Charleston Real Estate investor's Association meeting last night and 71 local Charleston Investors were speechless at what we learned.
Brandon and Sally shared tons of valuable information...information such as:

Several weeks ago, during a Charleston Real Estate Investor's meeting we were trying to get feedback from our Mastermind Members as to who they would like to have as a "Guest Speaker"...
Who would they like to hear?
A motivational speaker? (someone mentioned our old friend Leon Humphrey)
That would be a pretty good way to kick-off 2009...
Someone else, suggested a "panel of experts."
And then, one of our newest members who owns a "few" properties, suggested on our message board that we have someone from our local "Code Enforcement" division visit with us.

If you had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dine with your local tax assessor...what would you ask?
"How often is my property is reassesed?"
"How do I appeal my assessment?"
"I just moved here two years ago and didn't know that I had to apply for a "Homestead Exemption"..how do I get a refund on the taxes I have already paid?"
Last night at our Charleston Real Estate Investor's Association, we were honored to have as our guest speaker, Wayne Welch, Dorchester County Tax Assessor.

This was probably one of the BEST questions that I have ever been asked..
(aside from my high school girlfriend, Brenda Dillon, asking me, "Have you ever been skinny-dipping?")
Think about it for a second..
(Not the skinny dipping...get your mind out of the gutter:)..the original question:
"Who do you know...that I should know?"
When my former Mentor would ask me this question years ago, I must confess, that I didn't "get it".
He really didn't realize what he was getting into when he agreed to tutor me :)
