Two years ago I was holding an open house at a decent home with great views. I was visited by a middle aged couple that came by to see the home. This couple knows many Realtor in town - it's a small town. They could have called any of them to view the home. But they don't have "A" Realtor.  
I showed them the home, answered questions, and offered up my email should they have further questions. A couple weeks later they had further questions. And more. And more.

Summer is here and Steamboat Springs is just a great place to live or visit during the summer. The hills are lush and great and there are more activities to spend your time it's like Disneyland in the Rockies. 
The temperature is rising and so is the Steamboat real estate market. It's now a sellers market for single family homes and townhouses. At least in the $300,000 to $600,000 price ranges for properties within the Steamboat areas of, Old Town, Fish Creek and the Mountain areas.

It's a high-end neighborhood near the Steamboat ski area and Fish Creek Falls. Most of the homes are between 3,500 and 7,000 square feet with value starting around $1,2 million up to $5 million.

After 35 years, Car Talk Days are numbered. You either love these guys are they drive you crazy.  I happen to love them. Primarily because I like cars and used to work on my own. So it was fun playing along with them and figuring out these problems.
For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, Car Talk is an NPR program that runs on weekends where people call up and ask questions about their car and how to fix them. 
I will miss these guys.

Real Estate Market Report for April 2012 APRIL 2012 Steamboat Springs Real Estate Market Report.   We had 90 transactions in April for a total of $31M in sales.  Volume is down from last year but transaction numbers are up 25%.  Overall, April was a solid month in terms of continuing signs of stability. I see pending numbers still increasing and sales are strong.

Steamboat Springs Fireworks Might Fizzle on the 4th OK, snow level wasn't great in Steamboat last year. Now we might lose the 4th of July fireworks too?
Who knew that the lack of powder days in Steamboat Springs last winter would spoil the best fireworks show in Colorado on the 4th of July. Well, that might be the case.
