Jasper Old Fashioned Barber shop II, OR how do I look ? - 07/26/11 05:18 PM
Today I treated my self to a haircut, no a hair experience at the Old Fashioned Barber Shop in Jasper. This is post number 2 about this great Barber shop. If you saw the classic movie Barber Shop, or the female version with Queen Latifah then when I tell you the Old fashion Barber shop is that experience mountain style you will know what I mean.
The Barbers are great. The coffee is good and the atmosphere is friendly and very inviting. The shop itself is centrally located In Jasper on Church street

One thing I love about Big Canoe is the unexpected. So while I was working this morning I was treated to the following sight. This young person walked up our back stairs and found his way to the back deck. This one is about a year old and just a great sight to see.

Holmes Family Trio at Terrace Concert in Big Canoe - 07/22/11 11:12 AM
The Holmes Family trio treated a large crowd at the Terraces in Big Canoe to an evening of great vocals. This concert was more about Gospel and Blues. It was a great concert . The Terraces at Big Canoe are part of the Big Canoe Chapel.  This summer the entertainment has been great and the Terraces committee is to be commended on a super job. Linda Carrig, an ActiveRain member had a birthday this week. We celebrated Big Canoe Style. We all went for a boat ride on Lake Petit and partied

The Terrace concert series this summer has been a smash hit. Attendance has been 1,000 plus almost every concert. The tennis courts are hopping. The golf course is buzzing. This may be one of the most important posts I write.  I recently refinanced. I used a company called Terrace Mortgage. They have offices in multiple states. My wife and I filled out the normal 25 or so pages of disclosures and forms advising us of everything under the sun. We locked our rate. We then had the Appraisal, which we paid for up front. I got a call today which reminded me of something I blogged about a while ago and it needs review.
A very nice lady and I talked today and she asked about a property , "Is it a short Sale?" Now that is the wrong question. It could be right if you are in a hurry to buy. This was not the case. Buyers are watching HGTV and listening to the news. They want to know if the property is a short sale,  or a foreclosure, or a corporate transfer.
