Holy crap...just me or a bit overwhelming to blog for the first time?

This was one of my resolutions...start blogging. I've always considered myself to be a little tech savvy...until I embarked on the whole blogging thing. I am now remembering how anal I was trying to get my website up & running...holy crap! Ya know I was just saying that it was kinda nice to have a slow down in the market so I can tweek systems, update/freshen marketing & start blogging, Facebook etc. Wooo doggy I gotta lotta work to do! Where is the best place to begin?

Anticipation of 2009 Is Brutal

The anticipation of trying to have a clear vision of what 2009 will bring us in regards to real estate is brutal. I am fortunate to have a large referral base but does anyone else feel sorry for the young doe eyed rookie agents just getting into the biz?!?! My business is down by 40% in comparison to last year. Still doing ok but just wondering what lies ahead. However...I am actually turning the negative into a positive....with a little more time on my hands I am able to focus on all the fun things I enjoy like tweaking my marketing, playing with my web site & actually diving into the whole blogging. This is a first for me. But I was determined to get the ball rolling after the holidays along with all my other New Year's resolutions. I have also found that this is the time to evaluate all my systems that are in place & see how I can improve & put it into action. My husband & I actually have a bit of a social life again...we seemed to work 24/7 before but now have time to enjoy just being out and not in the office...even if it means just going to Harris Teeter & grocery shopping together. So think positive! The market will turn around. Utilize this time to set yourself up for success. So when the phone does start ring off the hook again you will be ready.
