charlottesville agent: Coffee and your Agent - 08/01/11 07:51 AM
Looking for Home in the Charlottesville Real Estate area is always exciting but can also be a little challenging to find just the right property. This morning I am off to meet clients for coffee who are moving from the Bay Area. Yes, my old stomping grounds. In fact they currently live a few blocks from where I once rented my first apartment (many years ago).
It is exciting to meet new people and share stories of how this Charlottesville Real Estate Agent made the trip to Charlottesville.
Funny thing, I was just visiting near their home just a couple weeks ago. … (5 comments)

charlottesville agent: Why didn’t the listing agent tell me that? - 04/30/11 07:35 AM
This is a recent question from a client and the answer is… The listing agent represents the best interests of the seller (not you)… Think about this for a minute. Virginia is a caveat emptor state (buyer beware) and that is just a fact. Having proper representation is critical for buyers in any market and especially in our area. This is why Charlottesville Real Estate Solutions offers buyer representation, it just makes good sense. I see deals all the time where a buyer is not informed of critical information. A listing agent does not have to tell you about an area, … (8 comments)

charlottesville agent: Morning Coffee in Charlottesville with Charles - 02/22/10 06:40 AM
As I drink my coffee this morning all the events of today are playing out in my head. Yesterday I dropped my sister off at the Charlottesville Airport (CHO) and immediately went to show homes in the Charlottesville Real Estate market. Well we found the perfect home and long story short we are ratified on a contract this morning. Now we are scheduling the home inspection and working on the financing. A deal is never complete until it is closed. Later today I am viewing another listing in the Ivy Area that we will soon be bringing on the market. This … (14 comments)

charlottesville agent: Morning Coffee in Charlottesville with Charles - 02/19/10 06:48 AM

We are seeing signs of the snow receding in Charlottesville this morning. Last night I picked my sister up at the Charlottesville airport after 11pm (she is visiting from California for a few days). It was obvious on the drive that the roads are clearer and even with the temps in the 20's I did not see any black-ice. After coffee, I am meeting up with a repairman to take care of a few items at a recent sale (part of the business). I will still bring my snow shovel as I may be shoveling a little snow. Appointments … (8 comments)

charlottesville agent: Mapping out Crime... - 01/21/09 07:24 AM
There is not a REALTOR out there who can tell you where Crime is in any area. If an agent does it can cost them their license.
As your agent, I can direct you to resources and that is the reason for this post about "Mapping out Crime"...
We all seem to like the mappingcapabilities that google has provided and crime can also be mapped out (see the photo below showing recent crime in Charlottesville)"

To access this mapgoto this site: Charlottesville Crime Map
Now you can check any city or area and adjust the types of crime and the dates...
