charlottesville city: How cute are your local Buses? - 10/20/08 05:11 PM
How cute are your local Buses?
San Francisco has the cable cars and large cities have their trolley and street cars but I think for a small town, Charlottesville is do just fine!
Take a look at our Charlottesville City Buses"

Now that has Style! On Sundays everyone rides the buses for free!!!
University of Virginia students, staff, and faculty may ride on any CTS bus on any fixed-route, without paying a fare, simply by showing the CTS driver their current valid UVA photo ID card.
Just another reason to love Charlottesville!

Already a strong proponent of mass transit, the city of Charlottesville is trying to decide if the timing is right to add streetcar service for local residents.
Can the city and taxpayers afford the $70 million pricetag?
Where would the service run?
City leaders are beginning to get some answers to help decide if this is a good idea or not, with early details in a new report to City Council.

I personally love the idea, not sure if the costs will be justified but it will be interesting to see. Going to the council … (5 comments)

charlottesville city: Charlottesville gets political? - 02/08/08 07:21 AM
It is official Charlottesville will be visited this Sunday and Monday (just before Tuesdays primary) by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
I have not gotten the official schedule yet but it is good to know that Charlottesville is on the political map!
I really do not care if you are a Republican, Democrat or Independent (or some combination) this election is going to be an interesting turning point for our country.
With the Stock Market showing signs of a recession and the housing market where it is, I would love to ask a couple pointed questions (maybe I will).
