Charlottesville Downtown Mall Most days we are hard at work showing Charlottesville Real Estate. Today is a bright, sunny and unusually warm day so a small shopping is in order. We will be visiting the Charlottesville Downtown Mall to catch up with some friends and shopping.
We usually take walks in the county (see photo) but today, it looks like a walk downtown is in order.
Great to have warm breaks in the Winter.

I have to say that I did not know there was so much talent in Charlottesville. These two are really good and have spent a great deal of time and research to put this Rap song together about the Charlottesville Downtown Mall.
I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did and share it with others.

Many times I hear from people who think that a town of 50,000 is to small. Well they just do not get it. It is a great size, in fact many people do not want Charlottesville to get any bigger... I tend to agree.
Sure Charlottesville is a small town but do we have some talent!
Here are a couple of young boys juggling on the down town mall, located in Jefferson's Virginia!

Today I get to do one of my favorite things! Show off Charlottesville!
We have the University of Virginia!
It is fabulous "grounds" with all it's beauty and history!
There is so much activity there, it is very exciting!
Then there is the Downtown walking mall with shops and nice places to eat. This is a must see if you like the small town feel!
A great place to stop at is the Mud House, a coffee shop on the downtown mall!

I am going to spread a little rumor here...
Our Downtown Walking Mall in Charlottesville is expanding and part of this expansion is a 100-room boutique hotel.
They actually broke ground on this last week.
Well Rumor has it that many fine chains have been inquiring about our little gem of an area and one such store is Apple.
Is our downtown about to get a growing spurt? I think it is and I am not sure it is what Charlottesville really wants to happen.
There is always a lot going on behind the scenes and this expansion is one of those things.

This month's issue of Southern Living Magazine (March 2008):
features Charlottesville Downtown Mall in the Travel section.
They talk about how it feels to stroll through Charlottesville's Downtown Mall, how we have more than 150 restaurants (wow that seems high to me) and how there is plenty to explore.
They talk about some of the shops, bookstores and even mention a couple of the local restaurants.
I have been talking about the Charlottesville Downtown Mall on my blog for awhile and I am glad that Southern Living is singing our praises too!
