fireworks at mcintire park: McIntire Park Fireworks are on! - 07/03/10 05:52 PM

There is always discussion of not having fireworks because of budgets.
This to me is like not saying the"Pledge of Allegiance" because there is not enough time in a school day.
It just does not make sense.
We are a proud nation and this is our day to celebrate. We will be celebrating our this National Holiday and making a day (and evening) of it!
I hope that you and your family have plans and enjoy the day! HAPPY 4TH of JULY!!!

Yes, Virginia we want Fireworks on the Fourth of July!!!
I just read an article in our local paper, The Daily Progress, which discussed how a couple of our local residents have worked to keep fireworks at our local McIntire Park.
