new construction in charlottesville: A spider found during Charlottesville Real Estate construction - 08/05/10 07:20 AM
When we think of new construction in Charlottesville we think of the beautiful finished homes and fantastic kitchens and baths. Sometimes we forget the fact that we are in the country and there are critters in "them there woods" I was near a brick pile yesterday when I saw this little fellow.... Actually one of the biggest spiders I have ever seen in person. After I took this picture, the spider grabbed the top brick and threw it at me! Tough day! … (29 comments)

As many of my clients and readers know, I love new construction!
We just finished another new construction in Charlottesville and my clients are very excited to move in.
If you watch my blog(s) you know that I do a lot of new constuction in our area. This is the same home that I recently showed while under construction (see next photo).
It is exciting to see a home built from a lot all the way to completion!

The weather is warming up and our area of Virginia is beautiful!
Enjoying a cup of coffee and looking at current listings is something I do most mornings. We are seeing a few places that are stunning and one is a new construction that I have listed. We have not broken ground yet (see photo for a peek at what the finished home will look like). This will be an exciting project when we get started.
I love new Construction in Charlottesville and so do many of my clients!

new construction in charlottesville: Building with Clients in the Charlottesville Real Estate market - 03/07/10 11:56 AM
Today I drove out to see one of the homes I am having built with my clients in Old Trail.
Seeing a home go from conception to plans to foundation to framing (you get the picture) is very exciting. Since my clients are not local to the area, I want them to see the progress and I also like being there for all the inspections.
it is a great time to build in the Charlottesville area and I am always available to help

So am I nuts???
Everyone is saying this is a "Buyers Market" and there is no question about that! Buyers and hesitant to just buy, but I say why not Build!!!
Why would you want to "build" right now vs buy a resale? (((3 Reasons)))
1. Interest rates are low
2. Builders have to sell homes and you can make incredible deals!
3. You actually get the "Home of your DREAMS!!!"

Builders, Builders, Builders…. What are you thinking?
Our Housing market never really seems to stop building. We may have a single builder get out of the game (see: BUILDER calls it QUITS!). But the demand for housing is and continues to be strong for the Charlottesville Real Estate Market.
Some of the smart builders and smart developers know this.
We are seeing smaller developments around the city and even have a new development with hundreds of homes in the plan for the southern part of our area (This project is called Biscuit Run... sorry this is going to … (10 comments)

I love new construction. The whole process, from breaking ground to handing my clients the key at closing. Many agents do not really enjoy new construction because it can take 9 months to a year (or longer) to get to the closing table. But it is the process that I really enjoy, not the closing...
Many times a client will not find the perfect home or location when looking for Charlottesville VA real estate. So it is not uncommon for us to talk … (10 comments)
