Ask for Referrals - They are The Life Blood of Your Business - 08/28/09 09:48 PM
Ask for Referrals - They are The Life Blood of Your Business Way too often we are scared of asking for referrals. Is it the fear of rejection, or are you concerned about annoying your prized clients? If you're providing truly exemplary service, you shouldn't be ashamed to ask for the opportunity to provide that same service to other people your clients may know! In fact, it should be the next natural step after asking a client how your service was.The way you ask this question, however, is very important. Open-ended questions help people to brainstorm, instead of giving them the chance for

Home Prices on the Rise - Buyers Jump Down off that Fence - 08/25/09 10:33 PM
Home Prices on the Rise - Buyer's Jump Down off That Fence The latest Standard and Poor's Home Price Index indicates that the housing market has made it's first gain in three years and the 2nd quarter shows close to 3% increase in home prices. However, home prices are still well below where they were a year ago, but prices did increase in both May and June of this year. This is all good news and hopefully it will continue. Individual areas will show different rates of increase or continue to decline. The Sun Belt areas are still showing small declines

Often the conventional short sale is not an option for most military relocation families because of it's impact on their credit scores and ultimately their security clearances. However, if military families financed their homes using their VA Entitlement then they are certainly eligible for a VA Compromise Sale. If you are military and need to move remember that Advance Realty Anne Arundel offers you a rebate on your Administrative fees as a thank you for your service to your country and you can save thousands in commission costs too. Real Estate Cycles - 08/23/09 11:27 AM
Real Estate Cycles Like almost everything around us the real estate market follows long-term and short-term cycles. You can compare these cycles to that of the stock market with its periods of ups and downs or nature's seasons, with its periods of hot and cold weather. To balance these cycles in your business, the smart real estate agent must prepare in advance to counteract situations caused by these cycles. We all remember bell curves from high school. If the results of an economics test or exam were deemed to be too high or too low, the instructor would use a bell

6 Reasons why your house won't sell. - 08/19/09 12:54 PM
This is great information. Seller's your home needs pictures and good pictures, potential home buyers aren't going to look at your home on the internet unless it's got at least 6 pictures. And, the potential buyers need to be able to see what they are buying. If your home is cluttered and busy they won't take a second look. Today's buyers are very sophisticated and are demanding, if they don't see what they want the first time they won't take a second look and just move on to the next home until they find one that shows well and has lots

The level of your success is determined by the effort you put in, your sales ability, your networking skills, and finally your drive and determination. On the upside, the rewards can be enormous. Many tell you if you keep your eye on the $ you will be less successful than if you keep your eyes totally focused on your clients needs and requirements. In the real estate industry there are always peaks and

Your Career in Real Estate - Networking to Build Your Customer Pipeline No one launches a successful career in real estate by sitting behind a desk, and waiting for the phone to ring. It just doesn't work that way and no matter how long you sit there, it won't work that way. You absolutely have to build a customer pipeline. The terms "pipelines" and "funnels" are commonly used to refer to how many names find their way into your client or customer rolodex or call list. The first task in building a customer pipeline is to examine and expand upon your existing client
