Energy Bills are going Up! - 10/20/11 08:56 AM
What a great post.  These are some easy ways to save money on your energy costs.  We also installed a programmable thermostat so we aren't paying to heat our house when no one is here.  And, we purchased fluorescent bulbs.  We noticed a huge difference in our energy bills.
If you live in an area where electric has been deregulated you have the right to choose your electricity provider.  We switched our provider and our electric bill has dropped again.  If you would like more information about switching check with your local provider if this is available in your area and … (0 comments)

Toxic Mold? Chemical Burn? Don't Let This Be YOU! - 10/20/11 08:21 AM
Toxic mold is a fact of life and can be completely debilitating to some people.  If it smells bad, it probably is bad.  I have entered a lot of homes with suspect growths on them.  I work with investors who buy homes like this, I now carry masks in my car.  I entered a home that was particularly bad one time and for a few days afterwards I suffered with mild flu like symptoms but there are some who will suffer like Debra and some who may even lose their lives.  Toxic mold is a real threat, especially to Realtors, like … (3 comments)

Preparing yourself to buy a  house is not as simple as saving up the downpayment.  It also includes preparing your credit.  Bridget McGee, the Mortgage Mama, is a talented loan officer and has laid out some great information here about preparing yourself to buy a home.

With our growing seniors population, texting isn't just for the young anymore.  Now the police don't need another reason to pull you over so beware, those fines can be hefty and on a fixed income they are best to be avoided.
