Organizers are in the process of trying to schedule a charitable organization to pick-up any unsalable items. Please check back for an update.

The Fire Museum of Maryland located at 1301 York Road in Lutherville, MD  opens for the season with its 35th annual Steam Show on Saturday May 5, 2012.
The show features draft horses and dalmatians.
There will be demonstrations of late 1800's horse drawn fire engines and rides in an 1899 hose wagon.  Kids will love  joining in firefighting contests and watching a magician performing inside the museum.

Parts of Lutherville, MD were blessed this morning with an early visit from Santa.  The volunteer firemen at the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Station escorted Santa around the streets of Lutherville in their fire truck this morning.  With sirens blaring and horns blazing they drove through the streets delivering candy canes to kids who braved the cold to wait by their homes to catch a glimpse of the leaner version of Santa.

As many of you know Baltimore County Schools remained closed today because of the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.  Due to the continued effects of Hurricane Irene, certain schools will be closed on Wednesday, August 31.  Many neighborhoods still have downed trees and downed power lines and as a result they have no phone service, no electric and no internet.  My neighborhood is one of those.  We had our power cut yesterday when BGE came to disconnect live wires that were laying on the ground.  Some streets are still not … (2 comments)
