caritas: Austin, TX - Caritas of Austin Hosts The 19th Annual Thundercloud Subs Turkey Trot! - 11/29/09 04:53 PM

Caritas of Austin hosted their 19th Annual Thundercloud Subs Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. Approximately 14,000 runners and/or walkers gathered in downtown Austin at Waterloo Park to start off their Thanksgiving day with a 5 mile journey to raise funds for Caritas of Austin. This year's event was expected to be the largest Turkey Trot ever and it is hopeful that proceeds from the event will top $200K.
Caritas of Austin is a non-profit organization that strives to provide a service continuum for those experiencing poverty that begins with a safety net and links them to resources to achieve self-sufficiency. Caritas envisions … (1 comments)
