We welcome Tom McCullough as the new SMMHS Principal. We would also like to say thank you to Eddie Gravitte for leadership to this point and work to help make SMMHS a reality. SMMHS is off to a great year with a great staff, faculty, student body and parental support. I would like to acknowledge that parents make all the difference in public education. The SMMHS Varsity Football is now 2-0 after their win against East Hamilton HS. On Friday, May 2 Private First Class Jake Hume of Signal Mountain graduated from Fort Benning's 198th Infantry Brigade joining the less than 49,000 enlisted infantrymen rotating in and out of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The previous day, a ceremony known as “Turning Blue” took place as America’s newest infantrymen have their famed blue cord pinned onto their Class A uniform by a family member.
