blogging: What Happened to Charita the Blog Like Crazy Agent? - 11/17/19 09:33 AM
I Dunno
Wow it seems like eons since I lived and breathed blogging on ActiveRain. Then one day (well not exactly) my blogging mojo just went on vacation and never came back?  It just seemed that I ran out of steam.  I was drawing a total and complete blank.  But even in my absence, I've longed to make a comeback.  As a matter of fact, I've made a few short-lived attempts. What is wrong with me?  Why can't I stay and play in the rain?
Return to ActiveRain
I still dunno (think Ricky Ricardo).  Everytime I've tried to come back I kickstart by reading … (9 comments)

blogging: Newbies: Active Rain Is the Hub of it All - 12/18/12 08:54 PM
As a relative AR Newbie way back in the dark ages of 2010, there were a few  things that I picked up on very quickly.  Well maybe not as quickly as I should have but you can certainly jump start your adventures in blogging by taking the tips below into consideration.
And for the Newbies that get out of the Rain just as mysteriously as that jumped into the Rain, I would encourage you to see the big picture about what ActiveRain is really all about.
This, by no means, is an exhaustive list, but it should be enough for … (45 comments)

Ok Newbies Here's Your Homework Assignment for Today:  Blog About What You Want to Know About
Writing about things that we know about is the easy part and of course it takes less time.  I am a firm believer that when we can back up what we say with credible sources other than ourselves, it only lends crebility to our authority.
It is very easy to write about our experiences and for sure, the value of those experiences cannot be discounted. But writing about our experiences and experiences alone is the easy way out when it comes to blogging.  But as … (11 comments)

BIF:  Blogging Is Fundamental
I was reading one of BLiz's blogpost this morning and something that I read immediatiately made me reflect on the Reading is Fundamental commercials that I used to see with great frequency when I was child.  The more I thought about RIF, the more I began to relate it to BIF (Blogging is Fundamental).  So I hopped over to the the Reading is Fundamental website and I made a few comparisons:
RIF's Vision is to literate America (particularly children) by exponential access to books and emphasize the joy of reading.
BIF's Vision: to literate our industry by … (48 comments)

Alan May Has My Muse, Tish Lloyd Has My Hat and Me, Well I got......Nuttin'
Alan May Has My Muse, Tish Lloyd Has My Hat and Me, Well I got......Nuttin'.  Nuttin to say that is.  I've hit rock bottom.  I joined the ranks of the uninspired led by none other than Alan May himself when he posted Where's My Muse on Sunday.  He passed the "uninspired" torch to me right when I was on a roll.
Now what?  I got nuttin'.  Nuttin' to say that is.
A month or so a go, Tish Lloyd got a hold of my thinking cap that I … (68 comments)
