attitude: Let’s Go! - 10/02/10 11:55 AM
There are approximately 14 more weeks left in the year. This year went fast for many. For others, it seemed interminable. I guess it depends on how your business fared. Some markets picked up. Some markets didn't. Some agents worked smarter, harder and thrived. Others were stuck with unsold listings, buyers waiting on the wings and an empty pocketbook. With 14 more weeks to go, let's try to change it up. Let's try to make a few things happen in this last quarter of 2010. Here is the challenge: My challenge is to consistently provide a tip per

attitude: # 4 The MOST important question: How is MY attitude?!? - 04/25/09 11:42 AM
We need to have a good attitude regardless of the economy! Here are 10 bad attitude busters: 1. Smile. Duh! No Really! Just smile. You'll be amazed at how much better you feel and the difference in the reaction you'll get from others. 2. Do something nice for someone else. It ALWAYS makes you feel better. Help a co-worker by holding an Open House or help your elderly neighbor in with his/her groceries. Volunteer to bring the cookies to the kid's soccer game. 3. Do something nice for yourself. As Realtors we are really good at doing for others, but

attitude: Got a question? - 04/14/09 08:24 PM
What 4 things should you be asking yourself every day in this market? 1. What am I doing today to generate prospects? 2. What new skill have I learned today? 3. What am I doing today to build my business? 4. How is my attitude today?!? What do YOU ask yourself every day in this challenging market? Next few blogs, we'll answer them one at a time!

attitude: Bright Approach - 02/05/09 08:04 PM
I attended a WCR (Women's Council of Realtors) luncheon a few weeks ago. I have frequently thought of the terrific presentation that the guest speaker delivered. It was positive, upbeat and simply sparkled. Chris Callier, VP of the Loan Network told the audience that he refused to participate in the gloom and doom. The way to make sure you stayed positive in this marketplace employed a three pronged approach: Mouth Gate: speak positively Don't bad-mouth buyers who are not rushing in to buy. Do not bad-mouth other agents for not doing their part of the transaction. Do not bad-mouth the economy.

attitude: "How’s the Market?" - 09/23/08 08:49 PM
So many people are talking about what is happening with the economy in general and with the real estate market in particular. Your response is very important. Your confidence and belief in your ability to help buyers and sellers will come across loud and clear. If you are hesitant, stressed and unsure of yourself, that too will come across. Many people still want/need help to buy or sell today. Will you do your best? Will you use all of your efforts to market the home? Are you willing to learn and enhance your skills to help your buyers and sellers?

attitude: Today’s Talk... - 09/15/08 12:47 PM
Just a thought... In a challenging market, it is so important to watch how we talk to ourselves. The market in many areas is tough. It has been that way for awhile in many states: Florida, Arizona, California, etc. It can be easy to get discouraged. This is not the time for wimps. This is the time to stay strong and increase your skills. There are some skills we haven't used in awhile, like negotiating (How much over the asking price, is not exactly negotiating!). There are some tech skills we don't know. While we are not overwhelmed with new
