consumers: Sneak Preview! - 11/03/09 08:47 PM
In my last blog, I mentioned that I would share some excerpts from my new book, “Make the Move.” Here is a preview of the cover- what do you think? The premise of “Make the Move” is to help agents who have not mastered online marketing and systematized their business using Internet tools. The goal is to help them migrate their business online. My goal is to provide you with the information I have learned over the past 7 years teaching Internet marketing and technology training to agents and brokers. I will also share with you the best and brightest

consumers: Generating MORE Prospects... - 10/01/08 08:46 AM
Last blog we discussed the fact that so many agents are going back to the basics to generate business. I gave a couple of examples. Here are a few more simple ways to generate prospects: On your voicemail greeting, ask for a phone number AND an email address. Leave your email address when you leave a message. That way, your customers and clients can get back to you easily and comfortably. You're on email late at night- so are they! They cannot call you then, but they can email you. Many people like the anonymity of email rather than a phone

How much business are you generating from your website? Do you even have a website? According to NAR, many agents don't have a personal website. With 84% of consumers searching the web, don't you want to have an online presence? Think of a website like a listing- it is a way to market yourself as well as your listings. You can drive traffic to our website with postcards, flyers, your business cards, blogging, posting on Trulia. How are YOU marketing yourself online?

consumers: Consider an E-Farm… - 08/06/08 01:47 PM
If so many consumers are going online, consider looking at your business from a different perspective. Think about creating an E-farm! Build a database of prospects, sphere, people from your geo farm. I know some people say real estate is not a numbers game. Actually, it is. It is a numbers game, but a people business. It is all about relationships and trust. However, you have to have prospects with whom to build a relationship. The more prospects you have the more opportunities you'll have for business. It used to be that you could not handle a huge number of prospects.

consumers: Necessary Tech Tools - 08/04/08 09:56 AM
We looked at marketing musts, let's take a moment to look at what tech tools the top agents are using and why. THE most important tool today is a smart phone. You need to be able to get back to consumers as quickly as possible. 84% of consumers are going to the web to search for info, if you do not respond quickly, you KNOW they will move on to the person who will. According to NAR, 80% of consumers work with only one agent. If you are first, you have an 80% chance of success! The second most important tool
