hawaii military bases: Pearl Harbor Hawaii |US Navy Bone Yard of Decommissioned Vessels - 08/18/10 08:11 PM
While riding past the U.S. Navy ship "graveyard" located at Middle Loch in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (the Waipahu side of Pearl Harbor) I wondered how many ships were in this "graveyard". While researching I found out that this Middle Loch U.S. Navy ship "graveyard" is also known as a bone yard.
This Navy "Inactive" ship facility is just one of the three remaining bone yards for decommissioned vessels. This facility has been renamed about four times and is now known as the "Inactive Ships On-Site Maintenance Office". The following information is of the remaining decommissioned ships in Middle Loch, Pearl (16 comments)

Everyone wants to get the chance to view the Unites States Air Force Thunderbirds perform high above the heads of patriotic individuals below. This time they took off from Hickam AFB, Hawaii The Thunderbirds and their F-16 Fighting Falcons always have people oohing and ahhhhing during the show and their performance over this last weekend along our South Shore of Oahu was no different. I was very busy so the only chance I got to see it was on my way to Waikele Shopping Center to pick up a few things. Everyone lined the last row of the parking lot with binoculars and (11 comments)
hawaii military bases: Another Hawaii Based Soldier Deploys to Iraq - 08/28/09 01:32 PM
Century 21 Liberty Homes is close to the Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Army Air Field. We see many soldiers come and go and come back again. This time it was my son in law's turn. I had lunch with him before he had to start processing for deployment. He left last night from Hickam AFB. I remember the day when the war with Iraq was announced. It was March 19th, my son's birthday and he was on the USS Kitty Hawk in the Persian Gulf. I had no clue until they announced it on TV. I've watched family and friends and clients come and (21 comments)

I didn't hear from my son for a couple of months. READ MORE HERE He served his ship and his country well, and when the ship pulled into Pearl Harbor yesterday my son was so excited! All branches of the military occupy a large portion of Oahu and I recently put together a Hawaii Military Relocation Package - Schofield Barracks & Wheeler Army Air Field for the Military Relocating & Transferring to Honolulu County Hawaii . Many military personnel have not been to Hawaii before so they obviously do not know what neighborhood is closest to the Honolulu County Military Base they will be stationed. So it is without question they do not know which neighborhood they should look for their next Hawaii Home purchase.
