Bank of America Sucks. That's what the name of this group is on another real estate blog site and it got me to thinking about Bank of America short sales that take 6 months and longer to complete. During the beginning of the year the Hawaii Short Sale listings were abundant! I had tried in vain to get buyers into a 'great deal' althought the time constraints did not work out. Contract after contract and denial after denial. People were fighting over short sales and only the patient ones survived. By July a Hawaii Short Sale listing I have with another agent 'got into contract' and it was finally approved. By August another listing 'was in contract' and recently the seller gave up. It's bad enough that Hawaii Short Sales take a long time but of course with patience forthcoming on all ends. The buyers wait patiently, the sellers hoping they'll be helped and all agents diligently doing their jobs to ensure a smooth and successful transaction. Until the lying starts.......... Documenting every conversation and getting everything in writing is next to impossible if the negotiator does not return calls or give a courtesy email. Surely, we have to go above and beyond in trying to help those from going through a foreclosure. The work is hard and tedious although we struggle through the MANY curveballs a short sale will surely have through the process. Two contracts come in for two different short sale listings and are accepted by the sellers. Two short sale packets are submitted to the lender for each property. BOTH contracts and short sale packets are ‘lost' through the first submission and the second packet was ‘lost' twice.
