Mililani is a Master Planned Community that started building on June 3, 1968 with 112 homes offered for sale by Castle & Cooke. ~~~~ My parents bought their newly constructed home in Mililani Town in 1971 and it was completed in the summer of that year. It was the summer before I entered my first year of high school and I had my last slumber party with my intermediate school girlfriends (from my old neighborhood district) in our new home. ~~~ Rich red soil covered the Mililani Community and across the plain we saw pineapple and sugar cane fields (21 comments)

mililani community: MILILANI REAL ESTATE | Hawaii Homes Market Report for September 2009 - 10/11/09 11:21 PM
Mililani Real Estate and Housing Market Report for September 2009 In 1971 the Mililani Condos and Homes prices were definitely a far cry away from the prices today. Recently, our Mililani Real Estate Market has picked up with the lower inventory for single family homes, condos and townhouses available. Mililani Town is the only community in Hawaii in 1986 to receive the distinction of "All American City" and is centrally located on the island of Oahu (Honolulu County) and to all US Military Bases as well. About 5-10 minutes up Highway 99 is Schofield Barracks (Army) and Wheeler AAF (Army), (1 comments)
mililani community: Assagio's Ristorante Italiano- Mililani Town Hawaii (LOCALISM FEATURED) - 09/24/08 06:20 PM
Double Petite Filet Mignon (about two inches thick) with sauteed onions and mushrooms for the main course with lightly grilled quarter cut potatoes on the side. My wonderful mom treated the whole family to dinner for my 51st Birthday. (I got around to writing this over a week late :)
Okay, so 51 years old wasn't as exciting as the half a century mark last year but the dinner at Assagio's Ristorante Italiano in Mililani Town Hawaii was superb! It's always an entertaining session when we go out with mom, my son and daughter. Hmmm...seems the kids always manage to get a meal off one (69 comments)
mililani community: More on the Land Rush ....Creating YOUR OWN Communities - 08/07/08 12:18 AM
Bob Stewart - ActiveRain (ActiveRain) is supposed to write on the topic of Creating Communities for Localism although I can imagine the bombardment with the LAND RUSH going on. I wanted to give my opinion on concerns that arose of diluting the communities and cities within our counties and creating our own niche market communities. There have got to be rules too, right? For one. We have our own problems with just the geographical areas alone. In Hawaii, there were bases listed as cities and communities listed in cities that didn't belong (one of them I added in back in early 2007 by (57 comments)
mililani community: Do You Want Environmental FACTS or Polls? -Honolulu Hawaii Relocations & Information - 08/03/08 09:56 PM
You ever notice how different the polls are from different magazines, groups and so forth that have different statistics for different cities? One thing I noticed is that Hawaii never seems to be on those nationwide statistics for like cleaner air, schools or even being ‘green'. So I did a little research and had to literally type in Hawaii...clean air and stuff like that. I guess because we're out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean we aren't considered part of the nation or something. NOT! We are just as important and play a vital part in Hawaii Military Relocations and (13 comments)

Rinnnggg! "Mom! Whatcha doing mommmmm"? (my daughter with her little squeachy high soft voice) Me: Uh, on my way to escrow to drop off papers. Where are you? Her: Ross store. Me: Kay...I'll come over there. Rinnnggg. "Hey, Mom. Can I come over and fax something"? (My son...needing me for something. Good. Mililani Town was voted the All America City in 1986 and it is the only community in Hawaii to ever receive this distinction. My parents bought their new home in Mililani in 1971 and I was just starting high school. To this day my mom still lives in the same house and my son and daughter grew up in that same house too. From Kindergarten to High School the Mililani Community and Schools served us well. My children just came back home within the past two years and help my mom (who just turned 80 in January of this year) (19 comments)
