Would you believe this giant golf ball traveled 4,000 miles around the Pacific Ocean between December of 2007 and April of 2008? Well, it's not really a golf ball like those you're thinking of after the Big Sony Open this last week here at Waialae Country Club. Up on the H-1 freeway off ramp I saw IT 'back in port' this past Saturday. It's remarkable that such a small token of appreciation will make someone's day a little brighter, give them a reason to smile once more and lift their heart and soul to renewed heights. Those little tokens of appreciation come in the form of a comment, a heartfelt notation in a card or maybe even a lengthy speech that will give another wings to soar to heights they've not been to before. He arrives back to the states after a tour in Iraq. He decides to take his family to Disneyland for a week vacation and his children are thrilled. His wife is having a bunch of fun too....until he just can't leave Disneyland and all the WHOLE days events behind without....seeing the fireworks going off above the castle.
