success: It Takes So Little to Give So Much - 07/29/11 12:39 AM
It was suggested to me that I could use a plastic cupcake container to start seedlings for a flower garden.  I had this grandiose idea that I would be able to start a beautiful garden (rather a potted area of color) for all to enjoy.
I picked up my daughter and we went to Walmart to start looking at the packaged seeds.  My daughter reminded me that I always “KILL” flowers and suggested I purchase a few of the annual flowers @ 73 cents each. She was matter of fact and said that the seeds (in my case) may not even … (19 comments)

success: Tips for NOT Cutting Corners With Your Real Estate Business - 04/23/11 01:38 AM
So, you have your Real Estate License and you're thinking about making a go of selling real estate.  You already have the mindset that you will make every effort to be the best you can be in this business. One thing is for certain: If you don't have good morals, beliefs and values in your life every day then all the rules, laws, regulations, code of ethics will not come even close to being something you will follow or adhere to.
There are no cutting corners in real estate when:
You are explaining a contract to your clients or answering any … (51 comments)

success: The Ho'nu and The Ilio’holo’I’ka’uaua - 02/12/11 03:12 PM
First of all, the Honu (pronounced ho new) is the endangered Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle and the Ilio Holo Ka Uaua (pronounced ee lee oh- ho-low-ee-ka- oo-ah-oo-ah)   is the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal .
On a bright sunny day,  Honu Sally was basking in the sun on Laniakea Beach on the North Shore of Oahu. She came on the beach when she had had enough to eat from the deep blue Pacific Ocean and in need of resting.  She didn't make the mistake of doing things too quickly and got enough rest before heading out again to exercise, eat seaweed … (40 comments)

success: Is My Business Plan for 2011 Realistic? - 12/31/10 03:49 PM
Who am I kidding!  I have an overall life plan for each and every day of my life.  I live by good values and beliefs and always keep in mind how my actions may affect others or how theirs may affect me.  A solid foundation for success; although each and every person has their own level of what success means, don't they?
This year I am definitely going to:
Continue to keep balance in all I do. I have to have my work, home, sleep, me time in order to have a life filled with contentment.  I no longer have to … (17 comments)

success: Do You Remember Where You Came From? - 08/04/10 08:41 PM
A while back I wrote a post  Remember That We ALL Started Somewhere in Real Estate because real estate is a continuous learning process. We all start from the bottom and work our way up to be who we are today.
No matter what part of the real estate industry we are in, we ALL have started from the bottom.
Remembering where we come from allows us to have compassion, patience and understanding with those that we work with in our industry. It allows us to continue to help others who are starting from the bottom and we allow for the … (75 comments)

success: BALANCE is the Key to My Success - 06/06/10 04:07 PM
How we define success will determine the level of success you achieve.  What Really Matters......In This Life?    I continuously ask myself this question and after watching the movie  "The Bucket List"  I wrote a few definitions of success meant to me. I continue to update that list to reflect the person I have become and want to be.
I have to have balance within all aspects of my life. Work, play, family, sleep and so forth. The following simple pie chart reflects the time I spend and in that "work" section is also my blogging, website maintenance and so forth.  This … (44 comments)

success: Are You Attracting Like- Kind Clients? - 10/07/09 03:28 PM

~~~~~~~~~
Like-Kind Property are of the same nature or character, even if they differ in grade or quality.
~~~~~~~~~
As a person who strives to keep things simple  (really) I believe that I have to be happy with whatever I do. And so do you. How I perceive myself is most likely how I carry myself in every aspect of my life...including my business and personal relationships with other people.
When balance has to be key to my success in business or as a person it brings to mind what kind of clients I attract.  It is important that I … (19 comments)

success: People Misinterpret What Success Is All About - 06/27/09 12:32 AM
Watching the National News tonight there were ongoing stories about Michael Jackson. What will happen to the children? A Music Legacy! The Dancing Moves! And then the heart wrenching realization that this talented individual was not really happy.
Some people misinterpret what success is all about.
Quincy Jones spoke of his professional and personal interactions with Michael Jackson and the most profound part of the interview (to me) was not about the dance moves, the singing, the children and beyond. He spoke about the resistance to success, not being able to handle that success due to not having a serious and grounded … (35 comments)

success: Stairway to Endless Possibilities - 05/04/09 11:53 PM
The trials I've faced and the tribulations I've crossed to get to the point and time of NOW. Climbing the stairs, step by step and as each period in my life approached the steps became harder to climb.  Ups and downs and all arounds.
At long last....clarification. The meaning of defining success for my 'self'.  It is an achievement to become comfortable in this vast world and in this mystery called life. Each person has their own meaning of success and we conquer the steps by going through each situation and circumstance and turn them into learning lessons.
We fall and get … (27 comments)

success: RISKS Are GIFTS - 04/26/09 11:58 PM
Without risks there would be wondering, the ‘what ifs',  no growth, no change. Without risks there would be a stagnant, unproductive, bored and lethargic life. Without risks I would have no in between. There would be life and death and no in between.
And it's what I do in between is what really matters. The legacy I will leave behind.
There was a time in my life where I pushed passed that comfort zone and had overcome the fear of trying something new. In my case it was detrimental in turning my life around because that old way of thinking...the beliefs … (32 comments)

success: Defining Success - 04/05/09 12:41 PM

Success appears in all forms imaginable although there is none ever so profound at this point in my life than the soothing, content feeling inside this ‘self' that determines and dictates who I am.  A ‘self' goes  through many different trials, errors and joyous tribulations during those years of ‘finding self' and some succeed in just understanding and accepting that things happen for a reason.
To learn from every situation and circumstance that one encounters is surely a gift and an experience to add to the memory bank for future use as one of the grand learning lessons on this … (36 comments)

success: Holiday Acceptance: My Story of Awareness & Understanding - 11/29/08 11:32 AM
In my childhood years, there was very little technology as I know it today. Hmm, I remember watching the Ed Sullivan show on a black and white television. No cable back then; just rabbit ears at best.
With young unsteady hands drawing wiggly lines to form blocks from 1-10 on the sidewalk and play hopscotch or a piece of rope help by two other little friends swinging up, around and down to play jump rope; these were the days of simple and enough.
Ah, life was grand with my little collection of Barbie dolls and with sewing needle in hand … (35 comments)

success: What Really Matters......In This Life? - 01/20/08 11:06 AM
We live, we die and it's what we do in between that matters. After watching the previews for the new movie "The Bucket List" and after reading Linda Scanlan's post about it, we made it a point to go see this wonderful movie today. Now, all of you that know me know that I believe that success lies within. No matter what, material possessions and money is NOT the foundation for a happy and successful life for me.
With grace and a zest for living the "rest" of their lives to the fullest, two older men Edward Cole, a hospital corporation head (Jack Nicholson) … (132 comments)

success: Stepping Stones To Success - 09/20/07 01:12 PM
How many of you actually will continue your relationship with a client once the transaction has closed?  How many of you go above and beyond the "call of duty" during the transaction and then drop off the face of the earth when the transaction is done with? How many of you will be there before, during and after the transaction for your client?
What does going PAST the above and beyond the call of duty mean?
Going above and beyond the call of duty during and AFTER the transaction:
With some client's it's just a given. I have "bonded" with a … (64 comments)
