Active Duty or Veterans of the Armed Forces have their VA Home Loan benefits for a little or no money down loan program to purchase a Hawaii home . (provided they are within lender guidelines). The Veteran’s Administration is not a loan company and you will still have to get preapproved for a loan from a local lender. Checking out the VA Site to make sure the condo/townhouse your VA Loan buyer is purchasing is approved is one thing. Trying to get an answer on just what those conditions are and why the AOAO has a pending special assessment and what the costs are going to be are another. Call (or email) the VA office in your area to find out what the ‘conditions’ are and hopefully you will get an answer so you can get your client to see the property and put in a contract when there are multiple offers going in.
