This weekend is the Kitsap County Home and Garden Show, located at the Kitsap Pavillion. This is a great event to attend if you are interested in finding great deals on remodeling supplies for your home. There will be everything you need for your home improvement needs, from fencing to windows all the way to the siding and insulation. This is an event you don't want to miss. For those of you who are thinking about selling your home in the near future, you should really attend this event, fixing up your home for resale is very important if you want to get top dollar. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I hope to see you there!

These days it seems that a lot people are under the impression that newer is better. This isn't the case necessarily for homes. There are a lot of homes that seem like you're getting a good deal, but after you buy the house you discover that is was cheaply built. For an example there is this new development in Bremerton that is selling like crazy, the homes are fairly large and at a fantastic price, unfortunately I'm finding out that several of the owners are very displeased with their purchase, the roof is leaking less than 6 months after they've purchased the home, there are HUGE settling cracks (not just pin line) and there is drainage issues. The builder is near impossible to get a hold of, and when they have been able to get a hold of them, they are saying they won't come out for another few months and when they come out their warranty will be void.  Yes, you can still have this problem with resale homes, but in a lot of cases it seems like the older homes were manufactured a little bit better than some of the homes are today. I'm not saying that new construction isn't the way to go, I'm just saying that newer isn't always better, you can still be getting someone else's headache. Do your research before buying in to a development. Find out what people that have bought in that community are saying about the development and if they have any regrets. Is better to find out now before spending all that hard earned money on new construction and find out majority of the owners wish they would have never bought in to a community.
