Although the news out of Washington paints a brighter picture about the recovery in the housing market across the United States, there are still some realities worth mentioning in regards to the Colorado Springs Real Estate market. Who says that the market is slow? The last two contracts I have written both have multiple offer situations going. Yes, multiple offers - one on a $465,000 home in University Park! Also, in one of my recent board meetings, a member said that he saw an average of 4 competing offers on the bank-owned listings that were coming across his desk. We are in for a great 2012! There is less than a 5 month supply of inventory for buyers - pricing is not appreciating in most areas yet, but we seeing progress, the $300's - $400's are picking

Last night was a terrific night during the Christmas Tree Lighting Reception at the Penrose House in the Broadmoor area of Colorado Springs. The El Pomar Foundation has had a longstanding relationship with Catholic Charities and Marian House, which is the same organization that Peak Producers teamed up with this past year to adopt two families to assist in their abilities to become more self-sufficient from their unfortunate life circumstances. Okay…I have to confess. Cherise and I are not Denver Bronco fans, though I used to be a season ticket holder to watch the glory days of John Elway and the Orange Crush in action. Ever since childhood I have been a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, relishing in the championships of this storied franchise, as well as having my heart ripped from my chest cavity as this team has under-performed on several occasions over the past two decades, and especially, during the last few years given the skill on their depth chart. Coincidence? That’s a philosophical conversation in itself. What I do know is this. Cherise Selley and Hannah Parsons did not plan what they were going to wear to work today. Yet, amazingly, their fashion style merged beautifully, ranging from the color schemes of their outfits to the style of jewelry they wore to the length of each piece of garment they adorned.
