Several people have mentioned that the Zablotskyy case is difficult and hard to follow.  And that is true.  I often find that if I can arrange difficult situations in chronological order ... in a timeline ... they are easier to understand.
This post is not intended to be slanderous. It is intended to be a simple recital of the events, as reconstructed through other already published sources.
Sometime in June 2007, Vlad wrote his initial post about ePerks, titled "ePerks - A New Approach to Real Estate".  That post has since been removed from the web.  It was favorable towards ePerks.

eperks: Getting Served Can Ruin Your Whole Day - 06/08/08 02:21 PM
Blogger Vlad Zablotskyy was served with a lawsuit yesterday.
For what, you ask?  Did he neglect to disclose soil failure and foundation damage on one of his listings?  Did a tenant fall down the stairs of a rental unit he owns?
No.  Vlad Zablotskyy wrote some blog posts criticizing a lead generation company.
Dennis Pease first broke the story here on Active Rain.
Greg Swann at Bloodhound Blog has covered it in depth, complete with links to posts by several different bloggers.
