rhode island homes: 2nd quarter home sale statistics in Rhode Island

Single family home sales for the 2nd quarter in Rhode Island are up 10.77% from last year. The median sales price increased 9.09% from $192,500 to $210,000. Average days on market decreased 17.82% from 101 DOM to 83 DOM. Even distressed sales decreased in 2010 from 746 in 2009 to 594 in 2010. All in all it looks like the housing market in Rhode Island is improving and thats a good thing for all of us! rhode island homes: Its worth the wait

I just sold my first HUD home. HUD stands for US Dept. of Housing and Urban development. http://www.hud.gov/homes/index.cfm It was a long and tedious process but my buyer got a great home for a great price. The home was a foreclosure and the appraiser had to go by Federal guidelines. So we had to put railing up,remove some mold, turn the heat on and water and replace the boarded up windows. Tell all your friends! Now is the time to buy real estate in Rhode Island! Multi units are at prices where there is positive cash flow. Foreclosures have brought single family prices in Providence to under $100K in some areas. Short sales are a great buy also! Most buyers can own for less than they are paying rent if they can quality for a mortgage. I know this is the hard part but many lenders have credit repair programs and FHA with 3% down. rhode island homes: Fannie Mae To Suspend Foreclosures Until January 2009

Fannie mae has sent a notice to its lenders and attorneys that all Foreclosures on Fannie Mae backed loans will be suspended until 2009. This is being done while the Federal Government streamline modification program is being implemented. The streamline program takes effect on December 15, 2008. If you know any one facing foreclosure please ask them to call their lender to see if they have a Fannie Mae backed loan. I have already helped one family with this.
