A recent article in the the NY Times,  concluded that "[t]he American dream is not dead — it’s just taking a well-deserved rest."  
I agree.  The dream is not dead.  But the false impression that home ownership is some sort of real estate Power Ball or Mega Million is.  For those seeking an affordable place to call home, that dream is still alive.  For those who wish to take advantage of the lowest interest rates in many years, the dream is still very much alive.

This week, thanks to a ride on Chicago's transit system, I got to see first hand what good customer service can do to redeem a bad customer experience. 
It was a sunny and very hot morning when I started my trip.  The bus could not come fast enough as far as I was concerned.  Several routes stop at this same location and by the time the one I was waiting for arrived, buses from two other routes were already there.  The route numbers are on both the front and back of most buses, so … (0 comments)
