St. Joe ends guarantee agreement with Southwest Airlines - 07/09/12 07:59 AM
The St. Joe Company announced July 2nd the early termination of the strategic alliance agreement for air service between Southwest Airlines and St. Joe. In attempts to lure Southwest to the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP), St. Joe entered into a 3 year agreement & guaranteed to cover up to $26 million in losses during the first 3 years of operation at ECP. For the past several years it has been a buyers market. But now because the market is starting to turn around buyers don't realize or can't accept the change. Buyers are still making offers with the assumption that all sellers are desperate - This is no longer the case. Buyers are missing out on properties because of these simple mistakes.
