You may be asking why we picked our name? It has to do with where we see barter companies going down the road. Our goal is to help it get there because it is the right thing to do. We are the next generation of barter company owners.
You may be also asking how are we different? Well it has all to do with our fee structure. Most barter companies have an enrollment fee that is usually between $295-$495. They also have a transaction fee that is between 6-7% on EACH transaction so for every barter dollar that comes in you have pay 12-14%. They also have a monthly fee that is usually around $20 a month cash and barter. The some even have an annual fee of around $100.
I (Chris) have been around the barter industry for around 15 years. I have seen so much and have come to realize that a barter company can run without all those extra fees. They tell you it has to do with maintenance of the accounts and everything. It used to be back when barter first launched because you had to do everything by hand but now most things are automated. So that means it is more cost effective to run a barter company than ever before.
Next Generation Barter
Here is where we come in. We have only two fees and that’s it. It will be an enrollment fee and a small monthly fee. That’s it!!! It doesn’t matter how much you barter. We are still going over the numbers but we almost have the fees down. When we fully launch we will let you all know. Also if you would like more info on this then contact us. Imagine unlimited trades for one flat rate? I don’t know of many companies doing that but not only do we feel this is the right direction but this is the right thing to do.
By just trading back and forth of products and services of only $200, you already save with us on the fees! If you aren’t willing to trade back and forth at least $200 then you probably shouldn’t be a part of a barter company anyway.
The goal is to help bring you between $3000-6000 in new business per year or more. Our company will be focusing on the Southeast right now with Charlotte, NC being the first place we focus.
It is August 7th right now, we will be launching in the next 2-4 weeks. We just wanted to let everyone know how we are going to be different and get the ball rolling.

What makes a strong marriage?
I wanted to post this since I know so many marriages are hurting. My intention of this post is to show you from our perspective NOT to sound like we are bragging or saying we are perfect because we aren't.
We were told by so many people that we would never last because of how we met and how fast we made decisions but here we are married for 8 years this coming Oct 05.
We met on a singles Christian website on 02/02/02. We talked on the phone on 02/04/02 for the first time. We set a wedding date on 02/18/02 and met in person for the first time on 03/04/02. Now was this crazy fast? Of course but we just knew and many people told us how crazy we are. Believe me we understand why they said that especially with how most marriages are today.
One of the reasons we feel that our marriage is strong today is communication. We have always had communication because at the beginning that is all we had. She lived in KY and I lived in GA so the only communication we had was the phone. We spent maybe 20 days total together before we married but we talked for 4-5 hours every day on the phone so there was almost nothing we didn't know about each other by the time we married on Oct 5th of that year.
To this day we stay communicated. We know communication is one of the glues that holds us together. Without good communication relationships fall apart.
Second, we always keep God first in our relationship. Nothing comes before God. We have to have that spiritual guidance in our relationship or we will not stay strong.
Third, we always make decisions together. I never have to worry about wondering what decision my wife is going to make without me. She also doens't have to worry about that. We have seen so many couples fall apart because of some of the decisions that one spouse makes without the others knowlege. Well to us that is wrong. In God's eyes we are supposed to become one so we also make decisions as one.
Fourth, we still have fun together. We are goofy together. We laugh a lot together. Laughter is one of the greatest things you can have in your marriage. We also still have date night. It is every Friday sometimes we do move it to Saturday when we need to but we always have 1 day for that. We have to keep that spark alive. If you don't then the spark will get washed out with life.
Fifth, we remember and do the small things. It is always the small things that mean everything in the relationship. I still open the car doors for her 8 years later! Most of her friends told her to give me 6 months and I will quit on that. Because I treat her with the respect she deserves, I have never went without sex when I wanted? Yes I said that! Sex is great in a marriage especially when both parties want it because of the love you two share. There is nothing like that.
Sixth, A lot of people may disagree with this one but here goes, we don't go clubbing or anywhere that is usually a place for singles. We have seen so many people say I have to have my night out with the girls and nothing wrong with that BUT it is always at a club, why is that? We aren't sure why but it happens alot. They say that is their time to unload. BUT why a club where so much can happen? Like to dance then find a better place. You don't have to agree with us but this is from our perspective and how we stay strong.
Seventh, we NEVER take any marriage problems outside of the marriage. We see a lot of people do this especially with the opposite sex. They get guidance with the opposite sex and it is not a trained professional or their spouse. Feelings will always arise and things tend to happen once you cross that line. Keep your marriage problems between you two and God and if you need help then find a pastor or someone like that who can help guide you two in the right direction.
Of course there are more things than this but this gives you a basic idea of what we do. We hope this helps. We aren't asking you to become us, we are just showing you why we stay strong in tough times.

How do you look at failure?
When I say the word failure, what do you think? You probably think of someone who never done anything with their life? Maybe you thought of yourself, thinking from the past? Maybe you think defeat? In reality, none of them are actually true. The only way to be 100% a failure is if you give up totally on your dreams.
When I think of failure, I think of a stepping stone to success. You may be asking how is that? No matter what you attempt in life, you will always fail before you succeed. Think back from your past, When you first tried to ride a bicycle, did you just jump up on the bike and ride away? Probably not, more than likely, you got on and fell to the ground. Then got back on and fell to the ground again. Then again, and again until you eventually got the hang of it.
When you think of Babe Ruth, you probably think of someone who had the most home runs for many years, did you realize that he also had the most strikeouts? Probably not. There are many successful people out there who failed many times before they were a success. In fact I would be willing to bet that 95% or higher of the successful people failed many times before they made it. I read a survey that showed a lot of multi-millionaires went bankrupt several times before they became a millionaire.
When I look at my past, I definitely failed more times than I have succeeded. My wife and I are building several businesses now that are growing but before this we ran a local newspaper that failed. I also did a lot of things in my past where I failed but never gave up.
Failure is the foundation of Success. If you can say that I have never failed, then I can also say you haven't accomplished much. The bigger the success of a person, the more they have failed. All I am trying to do here is help you realize that failure is a part of life and if you learn from your failures then in reality it isn't a failure at all.

Our Mission in Life?

It is 5:41 AM and right now I can't sleep. I have been just thinking what is my mission in life? We all have a mission. I really feel that this blog is a part of our mission as a married couple together. There are several points to that.
First, our story on how we met has always touched peoples lives. We truly feel God brought us together in such a crazy way to show people not to always think in the box. Do we encourage people to meet online? Heck NO! This was how God used us. He may want to use you in a different way.
Second, we all know that no matter what our story counts. We are all creating our story as we speak. We want to be able to help people realize that no matter who you are, you have a story. Maybe to some people your story isn't much but it is your story! Stories touch peoples lives. Just think about all the songs that touch you? Don't they all tell a story? How about the movies that touch you? Don't they tell a story too?
Third, we also feel that if you are married you should find a mission together. Here is the part that some of you will say "whoa, I am not sure if I agree". Remember you don't have to agree with everything we say but this is from our view and how we feel.
Think about it, we are suppose to become one in Christ right? Well how do we become one if we are living separate lives? We can't and we won't. I am not saying you can't have different passions in life. What I am saying is that if God led you together then maybe, just maybe he has a mission for you as a married couple too.
You have no idea how close having a mission together brings you. I love my wife today more than the day I married her over 7 years ago. How many people in this day and time can say that? I wish more could say that. We have done so much together and finding ways to be in business together has been one of the greatest blessings in our lives. I can't imagine living my mission without her. She is the joy that I look to each day. I hope and pray that you find the love that we share. When you do, you will know it can only come from God.
Our goal is to show people a different way of thinking with our life. If people read our blog and they say to themselves "I never thought of it like that" then we did our job. We don't want to make you become us, just think a little different sometimes.
