animal rescue: Can you help this cat in Florida? She was rescued by Apollo the Pit Bull - 10/10/10 07:07 PM
My friend, Elaine Fischer, was walking her dogs this morning. Apollo kept sniffing around instead of "doing his business." Pretty soon Elaine heard a cat meow. She looked in the bushes where Apollo was sniffing and found this pretty cat. She is friendly, but obviously under weight. She is relaxing on Elaine's enclosed patio. If you can donate any supplies to take care of this cat, she most likely has fleas, possibly ear mites, not sure what else. She will be going to the vet for a check up. Any and all help is welcome! Elaine would love to find

animal rescue: San Francisco East Bay - Please help - dog in need of home due to owner illness - 03/24/10 01:30 PM
If anyone can help foster or adopt this sweet six year old dog please let us know. See below for the story of why she is in need of a home. Her family cannot find a no-kill shelter. Please help me find a home! My mom lost her home, her job and her other best friend already. She's taken good care of and loved me very much for six years, but she's living with relatives in an apartment that won't allow dogs over 20lbs. I'm a good girl, I'm not as old as I look cause my muzzle has

animal rescue: Another one of my bright ideas (bunny pictures) - 07/20/09 06:04 PM
Okay, so another one of my most brilliant ideas - I am creating a website for Gary's Rabbit Rescue. I'm already undeniably "the crazy cat lady", what is going to happen to me as I look at all of these rabbits? This is Gary, the inspiration for the rescue group's name I will share again when the site is finished. If you would like to make a donation, click here. Here is a pair of bunnies bonding: This is one of my favorite pictures, Gary with a baby on his head: I have learned as a rabbit owner that rabbits are

animal rescue: Introducing our new friend, Elaine Fischer! - 03/11/09 11:18 PM
I'd like to introduce my new friend, Elaine Fischer! I was lucky enough to meet her recently when she contacted me about making her new website. We have emailed back & forth the last few days and made each other laugh more than once. Today Elaine started blogging. Her first blog, is about me and her new website. : ) Her second blog is about making sure to spay and neuter your pets and advocating adopting from your local shelter. Of course, I'm a big advocate of this as well. I quickly invited Elaine to our pet lover and animal rescue groups.

"Chris does my website and we have been working together for a year. In one word she is AMAZING! My invoice each month is pennies compared to what I get from her. She also does my promotional flyers... I have recommended her to everyone I know and they are never disappointed."
