On Monday, the President will sign into law HR 5297, the small business bill.  This bill has huge ramifications on commercial lending AND the economy.  Most people don’t realize how big this bill is and the ramifications of it on small business lending.     Right now, I want to talk about execution – what are the nuts and bolts of executing loans around this new bill.  As such I will hit the key provisions and then what we are doing about it.

Commercial Multi Family loans have remained stable through all the turmoil that has surrounded us in the past 2 years.  Over the last 2 months rates have not fluctuated that much.  Our programs offer the borrower the flexibility to pick the loan programs with terms up to 40 years with options for fixed rates for that long. The practice of due diligence fees in the commercial lending has caused many problems in today’s landscape.  Many Brokers/lenders will tell you that need to collect up front so make sure they get paid, others want to collect to make sure the client doesn’t go some where else.
