A new house $350,000...furniture to go in the house $5000.... a professionally staged house (PRICELESS) - 04/20/09 10:03 PM
Literally...You save money when you stage your house. Sometimes, you make money.  How you might ask?
Say you put your house on the market for $350,000.  After 3 months with no bites you lower the price to $340,000.  Three more months go by and you lower it again to $335,00.  You finally get an offer for $329,000.
Next scenario.  You hire a stager to stage your home BEFORE it goes on the market.  It costs $1,800.  You list your home for $350,000.  After 9 weeks you get an offer for $345,000.  If you subtract out the $1,800 you spent on staging, you saved $14,200.
Studies show that … (18 comments)

Great leads, great experience, lots of fun - 04/08/09 03:26 PM
Hi all,
I just wanted to share with you some pictures of our first trade show.  It was a great experience.  Andrew Mayon, with Triad Real Estate Photography, and myself, Ready Set Stage home staging, participated in our first "Realtor Expo".  It was a great experience and great exposure for both of us.  We got a lot of leads.  We had a photoshow running of the work that we have done together on the computer at our table.  We also did a drawing for a free home staging consultation and a free real estate photo shoot.  We each had a jar … (11 comments)

This is what happened.  A man and a woman in their late 30's, early 40's would go visit the homes on the weekends … (7 comments)

An experiment that will hopefully be a win, win, win for everyone - 04/01/09 03:05 PM
I have been approached by a builder that has a house that has been on the market for....are you ready.... 3 years.  She has all but given up.  I was referred to her through a contact I have in Roanoke, VA.  Needless to say, she really doesn't have any money to put into this house for staging.  I started to brainstorm and came up with an idea that I hope works.
I have approached a furniture warehouse where I buy a lot of furniture and accessories.  I've also sent clients there to buy furniture, so I've given them a lot of business.  I … (26 comments)
