What browsers are the public using to access your website? - 05/23/12 04:50 AM
I wrote a post yesterday noting that Google Chrome is now the number 1 web browser worldwide and asking what browsers people are using.
Admittedly a very small sample size, but three people indicated they use Chrome primarily.
Two people indicated they use IE primarily,
and Five people (including me) primarily use Mozilla.
Debbie Gartner, mentions some salient points:
most computers come preloaded with IE (except Apple's that come with Safari).  Does this explain some of IE's popularity? the reason she use Mozilla, which is the same reason I do, is that Mozilla Firefox tends to work better with Active … (5 comments)

What browser do you use?  Since the inception of Google Chrome, it has quickly risen in popularity and has now reached #1 worldwide! During the seven day period May 14th to 20th, Google Chrome reached Number 1! With IE in #2, and Firefox in #3. In North America, IE was still #1 with Chrome in #2, and Firefox in #3. I personally use Firefox Mozilla for Active Rain, Facebook and news, preferring IE for general web searches, accessing my Real Estate Board, and Banking (an almost 50-50 split).  I have tried Google Chrome on occasion, but probably prefer Safari to Goggle … (12 comments)

New "Life Blood" for the Circle Theatre in Alliston - 05/14/12 05:27 AM
Circle Theatre in Alliston, a local landmark, operating since before World War II, on the South Side of Victoria Street has a new Owner, Kate Vander Zaag. Although I have never seen a movie at this local institution, my mother-in-law has seen many movies here with her friends over the years and has always enjoyed the experience.
There is a place for theatres like this in the day of Giant IMAX multi-theatre complexes.  I think it was during a 2003 vacation during which we stayed for a while in Bozeman, MT, that Helen and I saw Seabiscuit at the Ellen Theatre … (9 comments)

It's a sunny warm beautiful spring day in Alliston, and I am on Duty... As I drove in to work at 8:30 a.m., I saw that Mill St. was closed for Alliston's Outdoor Farmer's Market, and that the stalls were already open.

Need a Locksmith in South Simcoe? Learn from my experience! - 05/03/12 05:19 AM
I had my home for sale (one that was an investment property with tenants), and it was scheduled to close yesterday. I got a call in the morning from my lawyer telling me that the courier company (Purolator Courier) had left a note with the buyers lawyer saying that they were there at 8:30 am.  Purolator had the key to the property.  A Separate issue is the relationship between this lawyer and the Purolator company. I called my tenants, who had moved out the day before, and they told me that they locked their keys in the garage, which they closed … (10 comments)
