Well, they told me it would happen one day. I lost a buyer that had verbally told me they would work with me exclusively. I work hard to go above and beyond for my buyers and sellers. When I first meet with people I explain that agents do not get paid until they close on something. We do all the work and carry all the cost until that time. Fish Frys in Northwest Indiana are always a local favorite around lent. Today is the first Friday in lent. I used to work at fish frys at St. Helen’s church in Hebron, Indiana. It was a lot of fun and hard work.
Preparation started a month or so in advance. There were pierogis to be made and frozen. These were fun days with all the church ladies meeting to roll, fill, and cook the pierogis by the dozens. Pierogis were a special item that people would purchase by the dozen.

Hebron Volunteer Fire Department Chili Dinner will be held on February 25th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Hebron Volunteer Fire Department plays an important role in keeping our community safe. Hebron's Fire Department is Volunteer so fundraising and donations are important to keeping the equipment up to date and in good working order.
There will be chili, hotdogs, breadsticks and beverages. Carry outs are available. They will be having a bake sale and 50/50 raffle.

We knew it was coming but didn’t want to believe it. It happens most every year, that end of the winter snowfall. The one we never want to think is going to happen but always does. My wonderful husband had the driveway and sidewalk shoveled by the time I got up this morning. It is sunny and the temperature is not bad but I think someone needs to have a talk with that darn groundhog for next year!

Laurie Clark posted this blog with foreclosure numbers. I was shocked at the realization of what is coming in the future. We all knew that there were a lot more foreclosures coming. Our market has been short sale, foreclosure and rental based for the past few years. It is a sad reflection of the times. In our area it seems like the foreclosure agents are the ones doing well right now. Working with foreclosures and short sales might not be for everyone but with a total of 17,000,000 potential foreclosures in the future it might be worth looking (6 comments)

Did you know that a portion of Indiana is on a different time zone?Those of us up in Northwest Indiana, commonly known as "Da Region" are on Central Standard Time. If you are in Northwest Indiana the Super Bowl 2012 will start at 5:30. These are the kickoff times. Tune in early for coverage of fun facts, Super Bowl histories and entertainment. Punxsutawney Phil makes my day! I attended the Ben Kinney’s Groundhog Day: Changing the Course of Your Real Estate Career” today. It was informative and inspirational. It was a fitting name for the webinar considering today was Groundhog day. February 2nd is a day that people look forward to all winter long. February 2nd that magical day when groundhogs all over have their 15 minutes of fame. The most famous of these groundhogs is Punxsutawney Phil (number unknown). Groundhog Day has been celebrated in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania since 1886. The celebration goes on for several days with even a (4 comments)

This Thankful Thursday, I would like to mention my graphic designer daughter who helped me out immensely. Our company is in the process of getting new websites. My focus for the past few weeks has been on setting up the pages, pictures, links etc.
The webinars on Active Rain have helped me gain more knowledge of websites, blogs, and SEO. There are so many articles about marketing, branding, logos. It’s all so exhausting. Tomorrow, Friday the 3rd of February is a webinar about optimizing your links.
