I came across this Easter Egg Hunt and thought it was a bit out of the ordinary. How cool is this? TheRoad to Life Church is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt in Chesterton and the eggs will be dropped from a helicopter!
They are going to drop 20,000 candy filled Easter Eggs. The event will take place at Friendship Park in Chesterton Indiana. The park is located off of 5th St. and Morgan Ave. in Chesterton.

Fish Frys in Northwest Indiana are always a local favorite around lent. Today is the first Friday in lent. I used to work at fish frys at St. Helen’s church in Hebron, Indiana. It was a lot of fun and hard work.
Preparation started a month or so in advance. There were pierogis to be made and frozen. These were fun days with all the church ladies meeting to roll, fill, and cook the pierogis by the dozens. Pierogis were a special item that people would purchase by the dozen.
