Portage Indiana market statistics show a steady market in my opinion. These are the sales comparisons for January 2011 and January 2012.
In January 2011, Portage Indiana market statistics show 18 homes were sold.Those homes averaged 158 days on the market.The median sold price was $115,894.In January 2012, Portage Indiana market statistics show 19 homes were sold.Those homes averaged 126 days on the market.The median sold price was $114,544.In January 2012, Portage Indiana market statistics show 194 active listings.Those listings are averaging 228 days on the market.The median asking price for the active listings is at $144,721.

Portage Indiana Township Trustee Brendan Clancy has organized “The Santa Clause”.
This is a new program their office has implemented to help needy children in Portage Township.
Donations of unwrapped toys, gift cards or money may be made at the Portage Township Trustee’s office located at:
3484 Airport Road, Portage, IN 46368
Mon. – Thurs. 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Fri – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Miller’s Senior Living Community in Portage, Indiana is sponsoring “Be a Santa to a Senior”.
A Christmas tree at Miller’s Senior Living Community will have ornaments with the names of a seniors along with their gift requests. Anyone who would like to help can pick up an ornament off the tree until December 9th.
