Hebron, Indiana is at the south end of Porter County. I’ve lived in Hebron for over twenty years now. It is a wonderful little sleeper town.
I remember when we were looking for a home and drove through the town for the first time. Everyone would wave at us and I have to admit it was nice in a hesitant but comforting way. Hebron, Indiana has not grown much over the years. The graduating classes are around 70 students at Hebron High School. You can count on the same friendly people to greet you at the local businesses. The Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County will kick off their Christmas tree recycling program on January 7th.
The Valparaiso compost site will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays beginning on January 7, 2012.
TheValparaiso site is located at 2150 W. Lincolnway,ValparaisoIndiana.
Porter County residents are welcome to bring once live Christmas trees, wreaths and other organic waste.
