Character Counts - 11/27/07 12:13 PM
Choose Generosity Over JudgementalnessEvery time my wife and I leave a Lakers game we`re confronted by half a dozen beggars with outreached cups. Usually we just try to avoid eye contact and pass quickly - annoyed rather than moved. I`ve got lots of justifications for this callous indifference: "It`s just a scam." "Surely, they have other options to begging." "They'll probably use the money for drugs or alcohol." "How can I give to one and not to all of them?" "If I give tonight, will I have to give every night?" "If I give beggars money, I'll just encourage more people

Make it a great week! - 11/27/07 12:12 PM
Greatness Treasury book) Living is giving your best self away, Living is helping someone every day; Living is giving more than you get, It's treating an animal like a person, instead of a pet. It's helping the handicapped across the street, It's smiling at the new person at work that you meet; It's respect for all nations, color and creeds, It's sharing and caring for your neighbor's needs One of God's greatest laws you can live and believe, Is the more that you give, the more you'll receive! •n Denis Waitley MAKE IT A GREAT WEEK

COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT - 11/27/07 12:09 PM
COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT If Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their infamous skit, 'Who's on First?' might have sounded something like this: ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you? COSTELLO: Thanks. I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer. ABBOTT: Mac? COSTELLO: No, the name's Lou. ABBOTT: Your computer? COSTELLO: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one. ABBOTT : Mac? COSTELLO: I told you, my name's Lou. ABBOTT: What about Windows? COSTELLO: Why? Will it get stuffy in here? ABBOTT: Do you want a

Life - 11/27/07 12:08 PM
I was always taught to respect my elders,But it keeps getting harder to find one. ~~~~~ Every morning is the dawn Of a new error. The irony of life is that, by the time You're old enough to know your way Around, you're not going anywhere. ~~~~~ Frustration is trying to find your glasses without your glasses.~~~~~ Aspire to inspire before you expire.~~~~~

You would neve have guessed! - 11/27/07 12:06 PM
You may never been a fan of Eddie Albert, with or without Zsa Zsa Gabor, he always came across to as an unsympathetic character. But a few years ago I read that he had been a young lieutenant at Normandy, and received a medal for heroism there, a Silver Star I believe, for saving the lives of several men. So he became one of my favorites. And now I believe all 4 of them are gone - 4 fewer of America's "greatest generation."**************************************> You Would Never Have Guessed>> Captain Kangaroo passed away on January 23, 2004 as age 76 , which >

You think English is Easy??? - 11/27/07 12:03 PM
You think English is Easy??? Can you read these right the first time? 1) The bandage was wound around the wound. 2) The farm was used to produce produce. 3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse. 4) We must polish the Polish furniture. 5) He could lead if he would get the lead out. 6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert. 7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present. 8) A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum. 9) When shot at, the dove
