Now is the time to buy! The September Market Report in the Dayton Ohio area for single family, residential homes in Montgomery, Greene, and Warren counties in and around Wright Patterson Air Force Base shows minimal changes. The average days on market in September 2010 was 99, and it was also 99 days on the market on average for homes sold in September 2011. The price per square foot also remained unchanged. Beginning Jan. 1, 2013, a new 3.8% tax on some investment income will take effect. Since this new tax will affect some real estate transactions, it is important for REALTORS® to clearly understand the tax and how it could impact your clients. It’s a complicated tax, so you won’t be able to predict how it will affect every buyer and seller.
