flushing: Queens Foreclosure the highest in the five boro's! - 07/23/07 03:43 PM
Ryan Slack from PropertySharks.com talks about the foreclosures in all five Boro's.  He explains that while all areas of NY have seen an increase - he is mostly worried with Queens and the rate that homes are coming up on the foreclosure list.  I will admit it - I have seen a large incline in the number of homes that are pending or are in foreclosure, but keep in mind - when the analysts speak of Queens, it is not the Bayside, Whitestone, Flushing, Malba or Beechhurst area.  They are talking more of Kew Gardens, Forest Hills, Rego Park, Woodhaven, Jamaica, … (3 comments)

I received an email from a buyer who attended an open house of mine, he/she felt that I over priced the house and there is no way that my listing will ever sell for that amount.  In the email it almost sounded as if the emailer was wishing or almost snickering the himself that the prices are bottoming out.  It sounded as if he was standing there go "see, nanner nanner nanner - I told you so, I told you so".

flushing: Queens NY Real Estate - Reaches high of availablity. - 09/29/06 01:08 PM
I was going through some local stats (Whitestone, Flushing, Bayside area)today and I am floored.  Within this past month of September there were 142 NEW listings, making the TOTAL available homes reach the highest of 932 single family homes. 
The HIGHEST priced home currently is $2.800,000.00
The LOWEST priced home is currently $459,000.00
The Average days on the market is 83.
