Jacksonville Foreclosures Down for the Month - 08/16/10 10:08 AM
Some good news for the Jacksonville real estate market came out this month. According to real estate data gathered by RealtyTrac, the number of Jacksonville foreclosures declined by more than 17 percent in July. The sharpest number of declines was seen in St. Johns County homes.
In St. Johns County, the 320 households receiving notices in July was down by nearly 43 percent from previous month.
In a year-over-year comparison, the number of Jacksonville foreclosures is still up by 4.82 percent. At 2,673, the level of notices was down from 3,242 in June.

Jacksonville Home Sales Increase by 15% - 08/04/10 10:15 AM
Almost 1,500 homes were sold in the greater Jacksonville area for the month of June, the highest number since June 2006, according to the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR). That’s a 15 percent jump in the number of Jacksonville homes sold in May of this year. The median price for a single-family home increased about 2 percent as the Jacksonville real estate market continues to show signs of increasing consumer confidence.
