There has been a lot of conversation and questions on what will be happening with the homebuyer tax credit. I just received information from the NAR, so I thought you would like to know.
Congress has both extend and expand the homebuyer tax credit to continue stimulating the housing sector of the economy. The Senate voted 98-0 on Wednesday and yesterday the House voted 403-12 on legislation that includes the extension and expansion of the credit. The President is expected to sign the legislation, perhaps as early as today.
This is a great victory for the economy, for homebuyers, and for all of us who own real estate. This bill will continue to help stabilize our real estate market.

For anybody thinking about purchasing a notebook computer, I would strongly recommend staying away from HP. About 6 months ago I bought a HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx Notebook and about a month ago the screen started flickering really bad. I called their tech support and they sent out a box for me to ship it to them to fix. I was without the laptop for about 1 1/2 weeks. When I got it back it stopped flickering. However 1 month later it started flickering again.
So at this point I am wanting a new laptop. They obviously sold me a defective one. So I called their customer support and talked to Nikki. I told Nikki I was having the same problem and wanted a new laptop. Unfortunately Nikki could not accommodate my needs. She said that they require 3 consecutive tries at fixing a single issue before they would consider replacing it. So that would mean I would have to be without my computer for almost 2 months before they would consider replacing it. I don't know about you, but I think that is unacceptable. I requested talking with a supervisor, but they were about to have a meeting and would not take the time to talk with me.
So if you are going to buy a notebook computer any time soon, I would strongly recommend staying away from HP (hewlett packard), and especially the HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx Notebook. It is a piece of junk. Also my touch-pad button is having issues where it double clicks when I single click it, and my mouse cursor jumps around all the time. Junk, Junk, Junk.
If you know anybody thinking about buying a notebook, please pass this on to them so they don't make the same mistake I made.
