Depending on where you live in Westchester County, now may be the perfect time for you and your clients to swap old appliances for new Energy Star-qualified ones. The appliance version of cash for clunkers is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 stimulus, and $300 million has been distributed to states to offer rebates for certain appliance upgrades. Each state is running its own program and determining rebate amounts and what appliances are included. The U.S. Department of Energy has suggested that states pick from a list of appliances for rebates. They are:

·Central air conditioners
