Great NEWS Everyone! A judge in the Eastern District of California by the name of Judge Lawrence K. Karlton upheld Nehemiah's Motion for summary judgment and invalidated the U.S. Dept. Of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rule to ban private down payment assistance programs proposed in the, "Standards for Mortgagor's Investment in Mortgaged Property"regulation published October 1, 2007 I'm very excited with the courts decision to support low and moderate income families across the country by ruling against the HUD's attempt to ban private down payment assistance programs. Just so I'm clear - the rule can not be enforced by HUD and will not be a threat to down payment assistance programs. The Nehemiah Program is the nations largest privately held down payment assistance program.
