recreation: The Balancing Act - 08/17/10 12:26 PM
One of the biggest challenges we all have is balancing time working, time with family and time doing other activities. This summer I have been working 2-3 days a week with my kids hanging out with me. On occasion for short periods of time I will bring them into the office. Often I work from home with them. Sometimes we will do fun activities and I am not working certain days.

Once a year my small hometown of Browerville, MN has their Browerville Days celebration. Former graduates and residence travel a long ways to come back to Browerville for the celebration. I talked to one person in the Military and stationed in Italy. Another couple who live in Omaha, and one person from Chicago just for example.
Yesterday it was raining and cold but that did not keep too many people away from the Street Dance. Earlier in the day I played some of the worst softball in my life. (I had one hit in three games).

recreation: I'm taking the weekend off! - 03/22/08 10:36 AM
I have looked back at my tracking system for my hours and days worked this year and I notice I don't take many days off. I don't always work full days on the weekend, but lately I have. I work with mostly buyers, so I have had a bunch of appts on the weekends. The weekends before when it was slower I still did work.
It does not bother me, but I am going to enjoy the weekend. I mentioned in an earlier post that I am helping my parents move. I was thinking this morning how can I make that … (9 comments)

recreation: 1% Better Each Day- TOPIC #4 - RECREATION - 03/15/08 02:49 PM
Since I am writing this on a Saturday in between a couple of home showing appointments I thought it would be fitting to write about getting better at RECREATION (HAVING FUN)! So I need a pinch hitter I should not be writing this one.
WHAT IS RECREATION? For many people this would be going out to dinner or a movie. Perhaps its going on a vacation. Maybe for some people its fishing or hunting? Others in might be involved in some sports for recreation. I think this list could go on and on.
